In Memory of Tom Meyler
The Blackhall Gaels community was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Tom Meyler, a hugely respected mentor, coach and friend of our club.
Tom gave so much to Blackhall Gaels over many years and played a defining role in the development of juvenile football and hurling within our club. A passionate mentor with an unmatched will to compete, Tom inspired generations of young players through his commitment, belief and drive. His influence extended far beyond the sidelines, helping to shape not only successful teams, but lifelong friendships and memories for so many who had the privilege of playing under him.
Tom also served as Juvenile Chairman of the club and was at the centre of one of the most successful periods in our juvenile history, guiding and mentoring teams to numerous football and hurling titles across many age groups. His contribution to Blackhall Gaels and to the young people of our community is something that will never be forgotten.
“Heart, Guts, Hassle” was a phrase closely associated with Tom and perfectly captured the passion and determination he brought to every team he coached.
We extend our deepest sympathies to Tom’s wife Kate, sons Johnny and Thomas, daughters in law, Michelle and Jade, adored grandchildren, sisters, brother, extended family and wide circle of friends at this very difficult time.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
