π¨ Player Safety Notice β Gola Helmets π¨
The GAA has issued an urgent warning regarding Gola hurling and camogie helmets. These helmets:
β Do not meet required PPE safety standards
β Are being sold online and through social media
β Put players at serious risk of head injury
The CCPC and GAA have confirmed that all players, regardless of age, must immediately stop using Gola helmets.
β οΈ Important:
βIf a player sustains a head injury when wearing a helmet that does not meet the standard, or is modified or altered, they are not covered under the terms of the GAA Player Injury Fund.β β GAA
As a club, we cannot allow Gola helmets at training or matches. Player safety always comes first.
