Senior A Camogie Championship - Blackhall Gaels Retain Senior Status

Blackhall Gaels 3-09
Kiltale 0-11

There was plenty at stake when Blackhall Gaels travelled to Kiltale on Sunday, October 4th, 2026, for this crucial Senior A Championship clash, renewing a rivalry that has produced many battles over the years.

The girls got off to a fantastic start, with early goals and some superb defending putting Blackhall Gaels firmly in control at half time, leading 3-08 to 0-05.

Kiltale showed their trademark never say die attitude in the second half, putting our defence under sustained pressure and fighting hard to get back into the contest. Scores were harder to come by for Blackhall, but the team dug deep, stood firm and did enough to see out a hard-earned victory.

The final whistle confirmed a 3-09 to 0-11 win and, crucially, secured Senior A status for Blackhall Gaels for 2027.

A massive well done to all the players, management and coaching team for their determination and commitment throughout a tough season. Sunday's result was a fitting reward for their hard work and a brilliant way to finish the campaign.
