🔵🟡 CATCHING UP WITH OUR U14 BOYS FOOTBALL TEAMS 🔵🟡
It has been a busy few weeks for our U14 Boys Football group, with both our Blue and Yellow teams getting plenty of football and taking on some tough challenges in their Championship campaigns.
Our Yellow team faced Gaeil Colmcille in Grangegodden in their second round of the Premier 1 Championship. It was a tough game against a strong Kells side, but the lads continued to work hard and showed some lovely football and great scores along the way.
They followed that up with a fantastic battle against Whitewood Gaels in Kilcloon. It was an exciting, high scoring game that went right to the final whistle, with our lads giving absolutely everything. The attitude of every player was fantastic, with brilliant workrate, tackling and passages of play on show. A well earned draw against an unbeaten side and a performance to be proud of.
Our Blue team have also enjoyed a great Championship campaign.
They welcomed Moynalvey to Kilcloon in their second round and came away with a hard fought win. The lads worked really well together and showed great determination when Moynalvey came back strongly in the final quarter.
Their final group game took them to Simonstown, where there was very little between the teams. Our lads showed great character to battle right to the end and secure a draw.
The Blue team have now topped their Division 2 group and secured a place in the Cup semi final, while our Yellow team have a Shield semi final to look forward to.
There is so much to be proud of across both groups. The commitment at training and on match days, the way these lads work for each other and their determination when games get tough are fantastic to see.
A huge well done to every player, coach and parent involved. It is brilliant to see the boys developing as footballers, building friendships and representing Blackhall Gaels with such enthusiasm and pride. 🔵🟡
