π A Fantastic Weekend for Our U10 Footballers π
What an incredible weekend for our Blackhall Gaels U10 footballers at the Seamus Weldon Memorial Tournament in Fossa GAA.
The lads had an enormous amount of success, topping a very competitive group and going unbeaten before progressing through the knockout stages.
They followed that up with fantastic wins in the Last 16 and Quarter Final, overcoming two very strong teams in Rathmore and Bandon to book their place in the semi final.
Unfortunately, the semi final didnβt go their way, with the lads losing out by just 4 points to eventual tournament winners Ardfert. To come so close against such strong opposition is a fantastic achievement and one that the whole group can be incredibly proud of. π
The football was only part of what made the weekend so special. The lads were a joy to watch both on and off the pitch, showing great spirit, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout. They were fantastic ambassadors for Blackhall Gaels and represented the club with great pride.
A huge well done to all the players, and to the coaching group who are understandably so proud of every one of them. Weβd also like to thank all the parents who travelled and supported the team throughout a brilliant weekend.
Finally, a huge thank you to Fossa GAA Club for the invitation and for giving our young Gaels the opportunity to participate in such an excellent tournament. It was a fantastic experience and one the lads will remember for a long time to come. ππ
