Another action-packed week for our juvenile teams with plenty of football and hurling on display that continues to make our club proud.
SUNDAY JUNE 7th
Our U14 boys footballers welcomed Ratoath to Kilcloon for Round 6 of their Division 2 league campaign. After facing a significant half-time deficit, the lads produced an excellent second-half performance and battled right to the final whistle. While the result narrowly slipped away, there were many positives to take from a display full of character and resilience.
MONDAY
Our U13 girls footballers welcomed St. Pats to Batterstown for their final group game. In a thrilling contest, the girls showed tremendous determination and secured a dramatic late victory to earn a semi-final place. It was also a proud occasion as the team lined out in their new Glenveagh-sponsored jerseys for the first time.
SATURDAY
Our U9 girls footballers were in action against Walterstown in Batterstown. Despite the chilly conditions, the girls put in some excellent performances, showing great skill, enthusiasm and teamwork throughout the morning. A special mention to Sadhbh, Darcy, Rosie, Hannah, Lauren and Zoe, while every player contributed brilliantly.
In Kilcloon, our U7 boys hurlers enjoyed a fantastic morning against Navan O'Mahonys and Na Fianna. With 24 players taking part across four BHG teams, there was plenty of great striking, teamwork and enjoyment on display.
Later that afternoon, our U12 girls footballers hosted Simonstown in Kilcloon. The girls delivered a superb team performance, demonstrating excellent teamwork, strong defending and some outstanding football skills. The Division 3 fixture between the sides has been rescheduled and will now take place on 20th June.
SUNDAY
Our U14 boys hurlers continued their excellent league campaign with a strong performance against Kildalkey in Kilcloon. The lads played some outstanding hurling and worked hard throughout to maintain their impressive run of form. With one league game remaining, they will be looking to finish their campaign strong πͺ
