On Monday, May 11th, representatives from clubs across County Meath gathered at Buvinda House, Navan, for a special reception hosted by Meath County Council in partnership with Meath GAA, the LGFA and The Camogie Association. The evening recognised the collective voluntary leadership of club chairpersons and celebrated the enormous contribution clubs make to their communities through participation, governance and the stewardship of local facilities.
All clubs in attendance were acknowledged for their continued commitment and service to their local communities.
A highlight of the evening was a panel discussion featuring former Meath captains Mick Lyons, Joe Cassells, Shauna Ennis, Graham Geraghty and Tommy Dowd, who shared their experiences and reflections on leadership, community spirit and the importance of the GAA club at the heart of parish life.
Blackhall Gaels were proudly represented by Kieran Devaney in his roles as Meath Camogie Chairperson and Blackhall Gaels representative. Kieran also spoke on the night on behalf of Meath Camogie and represented both club and county with great pride.
Kieran is pictured alongside the legendary Seán Boylan, a true icon of Meath GAA, during what was a very special evening celebrating the strength of clubs and volunteers across County Meath.
We are extremely grateful to Kieran for his continued dedication and representation of both Blackhall Gaels and Meath Camogie at county level.
