Our Juvenile Roundup for the week ending Sunday May 3rd brought another great few days of action, effort and development across the club.
The week began on Wednesday April 29th with a strong showing from our U13 Division E camogie team against Donaghmore Ashbourne. The girls worked brilliantly together throughout, showing real teamwork, determination and belief. Their defensive effort stood out in particular and was a great example of what can be achieved when everyone supports each other and plays as a unit.
Also on Wednesday evening, our U15 boys took part in the hurling Féile and faced a challenging but productive night of competition. A narrow loss in their opening game to Clan na nGael meant there was pressure going into their second match against Na Fianna. The lads responded well and looked to be in control before a late surge from the opposition saw the game finish level. Their overall performances were enough to see them qualify for the semi finals next Friday, May 8th, which is a great achievement.
On Saturday May 2nd, our U12 girls took part in Go Games against Dunboyne in Kilcloon. There was great skill, teamwork and determination on display throughout from all players, with plenty of learning and development evident across the games. A big thank you to our U11 girls who joined the squad on the day and contributed so well. Credit also to our Go Games referees Eabha McIver and Isabelle Lambert who did an excellent job.
Sunday morning saw our U14 hurlers take on Ratoath and continue their positive run. The most pleasing aspect was the consistent workrate shown by the lads throughout the game, even in the warm conditions. There was some great battling, smart play and well worked scores, with the team showing strong momentum as the season progresses.
