The girls had already secured a semi final spot in the Senior B Championship as they completed the group stage with a home game against Boardsmill. Top spot in the group was all that was up for grabs and a six goal thriller ensued. It was a tough game under lights in Kilcloon with a wind and a mist making conditions tricky. The lead swung back and forth throughout the game with Blackhall trailing by a point at the break after a two goal blitz by Boardsmill on the stroke of half time.
The girls rallied well in the second half and got back on level terms. In a dramatic ending a late goal each could have swung the game. Blackhall struck first to take a 3 point lead into injury time but Boardsmill rescued a point for themselves with the nearly the last puck of the game.
