Gripping Indoor Hurling Final

HurlingThe Blackhall Gaels Indoor Hurling competition final took place in Batterstown last night. After the internal league matches of the past weeks, this was the evening for the final deciding matches of the indoor season.
The highlight of the evening was the final between team Galway and team Tipperary. The players and supporters were equally excited as the two teams competed in a tense match, which was refereed by an excellent and fair John Morris. The first half of the match was very close. However, Tipperary pulled away in the second half and was the deserving winner at full time.
The winning team received their individual medals and juvenile chairperson Richard Morris handed the Paddy McHugh memorial cup to winning team captain Grace Barry.
Kate Gormley received a medal for most improved player this indoor season.
