Blackhall travelled to Walterstown on Monday night to face Walterstown in the B League. The two teams have struggled in this year’s league, with both sides looking for two crucial points. Blackhall took to the field and immediately began to show what they were made of. Using Niall Kelly as seventh back Blackhall could run their attacks from deep in their own half. Gavin Judge and Patrick Kelly showed their worth with flying runs up and down the pitch throughout the game. Early scores put Blackhall in front and there they would stay, half time had the Blackhall men ahead by 1-5 on a scoreline of 2-5 to 0-3.
The second half saw Blackhall show little mercy with two more goals as well as several lovely points. Defence kicked it up a gear, resulting in just two Walterstown scores in the second half. The game was over as a contest, and Blackhall walked away with the spoils. Final score in Walterstown was Blackhall 4-11 to Walterstown 1-4. Blackhall now look to the Junior Championship when the lads face Trim on Saturday 10th of June.
