Meeting Navan O’Mahony’s is always a daunting task, meeting them at home is even more so. Blackhall travelled to the county capital in search of another crucial league win ad with championship just around the corner, a win would settle any nerves. Navan of course, had other plans for Blackhall.
The game was fast paced from the off, with Tadhg Brosnan standing out early on with an unbelievable goal. This was soon followed by another Blackhall goal, this time from a 45. Blackhall had the help of a serious wind but still, a mighty start. Navan kept plugging away however and managed to just have the goals between them at half, 2-7 to 0-7.
Paul Kelly settled into the second half with another goal and it looked like Blackhall could do no wrong, however, as Navan will do, they snuck in and managed a goal of their own.
